The bathroom is a home's smallest but most technically dense space: water, electricity, ventilation and slope calculations all compressed into a few square metres. The most common failure we see is tiling straight over old waterproofing — which ends in a leak to the flat below within two years. At EMC Decor floors and walls get two coats of liquid membrane, a 24-hour ponding test, and a photo-documented report of the result.
Drain slopes are laser-measured (1–2 cm per metre), concealed plumbing is pressure-tested, and tiles are levelled with spacer systems. Sanitaryware and fittings are torqued to manufacturer spec. A standard bathroom remodel takes 7–14 days and carries a 12-month warranty.

How many days does a bathroom renovation take?
A standard bathroom is delivered in 7–14 days including demolition. Membrane curing and the ponding test are part of that schedule — we never shorten the job by skipping them.
What if it's the only bathroom in the home?
We sequence the work so the toilet is back in temporary use by the end of day two, and plan the heaviest days around your shower arrangements.
Do you guarantee against leaks to the flat below?
Yes — our waterproofing is proven with a 24-hour ponding test and covered by the 12-month warranty. The test report is part of your handover file.
Can you replace a bathtub with a walk-in shower?
